  • Welsh mountain run for Israel: An 8km run is being planned in Wales in early August to counter anti-Semitism, show support for Israel and raise money for Holy Land organisations. See our Events list, below, for more information.
  • Doctors quit BMA after pro-abortion vote: Following last week’s disastrous vote, more than 20 doctors have announced they will leave the union. Read more here. Meanwhile, 70,000 marched on the streets of Dublin last weekend to defend the rights of the unborn child.
  • LGBT people experiencing lower quality of life: New statistics from the ONS show that those identifying as LGBT experience lower levels of happiness and self-worth and greater levels of anxiety than the national average. Read more here.
  • British Army bases to hoist rainbow flag: As part of Pride Week, all army bases will be required to raise the rainbow flag, with soldiers risking discipline if they refuse. Read more here.

World Scene

  • Swedish ministers to be forced to perform same-sex ‘marriages’: The Swedish Prime Minister has said that church leaders should be required to perform same-sex weddings, even if it goes against their conscience. Read more here.
  • 2017 the bloodiest Ramadan in recent history: More than 1,600 people were killed by jihadists during Ramadan this year, making it the most murderous in recent history. Read more here.

Israel and Middle East

  • 200 Americans move to Israel on 4th July: The families from 16 US states and three Canadian provinces made Aliyah, arriving to a festive welcoming ceremony. Read more here.
  • PA pressures Hamas to let go of Gaza: In his latest move to force Hamas out, PA President Abbas has made over 6,000 PA employees in Gaza made redundant. Read more here.
  • Major terror attack thwarted in Jerusalem: This week IDF forces foiled a potentially devastating attack when they searched six Palestinians entering Jerusalem from the south-east and found knives, stun grenades and Molotov cocktails. Read more here.
  • Buffer zone being planned between Israel and Syria: Following stray missiles entering the Golan Heights and in the context of the growing threat of war with Hezbollah, Netanyahu is seeking to create a safe zone to protect northern Israel. Read more here.
